Fox Business Network will replace Maria Bartiromo’s former morning franchise with Fox Business Big Money in the mornings, expanding its roundtable brand into the 6–9 a.m. ET window beginning Monday, Oct. 12, 2026. Variety reported Oct. 1 that “Big Money in the Morning” will be hosted by Dagen McDowell, Brian Brenberg, and Taylor Riggs, joined by Barron’s Josh Schafer, as the network competes more directly with CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
New weekday lineup after Bartiromo’s exit
According to Variety, Fox Business has lacked a regular early-morning anchor since August, when Bartiromo was removed from her program amid reports she divulged company information to outside parties. She had anchored “Mornings With Maria” and the Friday show “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street.” A Fox News Media press release distributed Oct. 1 via PR Newswire confirmed the Oct. 12 debut and said McDowell and Brenberg will leave the evening program “The Bottom Line,” with encore episodes of “Kudlow” filling 6 p.m. ET.
Hosts, format, and midday changes
Fox said the morning show will mix breaking business news, debate, and analysis ahead of the trading day. McDowell has been with Fox News since 2003 and was a founding Fox Business anchor in 2007; Brenberg joined in 2020; Riggs arrived in 2022 from Bloomberg; Schafer contributes across FBN while editing Barron’s Investor Circle newsletter. The noon “Big Money Show” will add rotating co-hosts Cheryl Casone, Marcus Lemonis, and Lou Basenese alongside Jackie DeAngelis. Liz Claman will launch Friday-night “Claman’s Power Players” at 7 p.m. ET.
Why Fox is betting on a roundtable
Fox News Media president and executive editor Jay Wallace told Variety that putting more top personalities on air during market hours should “flow nicely” into Stuart Varney’s program and that executives want a podcast-like feel. Roundtables such as “The Five” remain among Fox News Media’s most-watched formats. For local readers tracking business headlines beyond cable TV, today’s Boston Report also covered the $2.9 billion Vicinity Energy Boston sale and a Nubian Square council resolution backing fire-hit businesses.
