Uchi in Fort Point

Uchi, from Texas-based Hai Hospitality, was co-founded by James Beard Award-winning chef Tyson Cole, Boston.com reported. It will take the Fort Point space once occupied by Pink Taco, which quietly closed over the summer, according to the report.

The 7,100-square-foot restaurant will seat about 210 diners for sushi, nigiri and other dishes, Boston.com reported. The Texas locations serve dishes such as king crab handrolls with brown butter and bergamot custard, the outlet said. Boston.com did not give an opening date.

Fumo on Beacon Hill

Fumo will open at 9 Park Street Place, in the space recently left by Nine and once home to the restaurant No. 9 Park, Boston.com reported. It is Fumo’s first location outside New York City. The menu is not yet public, but the New York menus feature truffle fries, rice balls, garlic bread, pizzas and pastas, according to Boston.com. The brand expects a December opening.

Roma in the South End

Roma recently opened at 416 Tremont St. in the former home of Rome Pizza, which operated there for nearly three decades, Boston.com reported. It serves stone-oven pizzas, including build-your-own pies, plus onion rings, chicken tenders, club sandwiches and pastas, and welcomes walk-ins, according to the report.

Also coming

Cini Coffee, which roasts Ethiopian-grown beans, plans a January 2027 opening at 117 Cambridge St. in Cambridge near Inman Square, Boston.com reported. More openings and closings are on the Boston restaurants page.
