About this tracker
The tracker covers the term that began at noon Eastern Time on Jan. 20, 2025 and is scheduled to end at noon Eastern Time on Jan. 20, 2029. It records what the president has signed, as published by the federal government. It does not rate, rank or characterize any action.
Methodology and sources
- Executive orders: pulled from the Federal Register API, filtered to President Trump and to signing dates on or after Jan. 20, 2025. Each entry shows the order number, title, signing date, publication date, Federal Register citation and a link to the official text. Orders appear after publication, so the newest signed orders may be missing for a few days.
- Bills signed into law: pulled from the Congress.gov API list of laws of the 119th Congress. The date shown is the date the measure became law.
- Tariff actions: presidential documents in the Federal Register whose titles refer to tariffs, duties or adjusting imports, including executive orders, proclamations and memoranda. The legal authority column (for example Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, Section 301 or Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, or the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, IEEPA) and the action column are assigned from the document title; where the title does not make the authority clear, the table says “See document.” Rates, product lists, country lists and effective dates are in each official document, and we do not restate them.
- Refresh: the databases refresh once a day. If a source is unavailable, the previous data stays in place and the “last refreshed” time shows when the last successful update ran.
