The United States, Armenia and Azerbaijan launched trilateral technical planning groups on Friday, Nov. 6, to advance the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a planned multimodal transit route, according to a joint statement released by the State Department.

What the three governments agreed
The groups were launched by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, the statement said.
The first two groups will focus on transportation and electricity transmission, according to the statement. The three governments said the groups are a step toward resolving technical issues and moving to later phases of implementation, including links with other regional infrastructure.
Where the route comes from
The statement tied the effort to the Aug. 8, 2025, Peace Summit Declaration, which it said was brokered by President Trump. The sides “reaffirmed their respective commitments to expeditious operationalization of all modalities of TRIPP,” the statement said.
What is not yet public
The joint statement did not give a timeline, a cost estimate or the route’s exact path. It did not say when the planning groups will next meet. The Boston Report will update this story when the governments release those details. More coverage is in World News.
