The Sports Bra Boston, a franchise of the Portland, Oregon, bar that shows only women’s sports, has picked its home: a 3,243-square-foot space at 2 Broad Street, on the line between the Financial District and the Wharf District. The ownership group announced the downtown Boston location on Oct. 13, 2026, and said it is finishing renovations ahead of a grand opening that has not been given a firm date.
According to The Boston Globe, the space previously housed Tiki Rock, and a sign on the door reads “Game time: Fall 2026.” WCVB reported that the business described the opening as coming “in the months ahead” and said watch parties and pop-up events would continue until then.

From group chat to Broad Street
The Globe reported that the owners formed Watch With Us Boston in 2024 to run pop-up watch parties for women’s games around the city. As crowds grew, the group began looking at a permanent bar and, in early 2025, signed with The Sports Bra founder Jenny Nguyen to open one of the brand’s first franchises. The original Portland bar opened in 2022, and Nguyen announced franchise expansion in 2025 that included Boston and Portland, Maine.
“We realized this was the perfect spot the moment we stepped inside and could truly see it transform into The Sports Bra Boston,” Lydia Coverdale-Perez said in the release. Nguyen said the Boston group “embodies everything our brand stands for,” calling the city’s sports culture one of “the deepest, most passionate” in the world.
What will be on the screens
The company said its TVs will feature New England women’s teams, including Boston Legacy FC of the NWSL, the PWHL’s Boston Fleet, the Boston Hunters of the WPBL, the Boston Guard lacrosse team, the Boston Banshees rugby side and local roller derby leagues, along with college sports and the Boston Marathon. The bar plans to be family-friendly, offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, and give priority to products from local, women-owned businesses.
The site runs alongside the Rose Kennedy Greenway, a short walk from Faneuil Hall and Government Center, and the company describes it as easily accessible by the MBTA. Cliff Dever, owner of the neighboring Warehouse Kitchen + Sports Bar, which has hosted the group’s watch parties, said in the release that the bar’s arrival is “great for Boston, women’s sports, and New England fans.” Gov. Maura Healey and Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll also issued statements welcoming the business.
Our Take
This section is analysis and opinion, separate from the reporting above.
Downtown Boston has spent several years trying to give office workers and visitors more reasons to stay after 5 p.m., and a destination bar with a built-in fan base is the kind of tenant that helps. The location also fits the moment: Boston now has a pro women’s soccer team, a PWHL hockey team and new leagues still finding their crowds, and those fans have had few dedicated places to gather. The bigger test is the calendar. Pro women’s schedules in Boston still leave plenty of open nights, so the business will lean on events, college games and community programming on quiet nights. If the owners can turn their watch-party following into weekday regulars from nearby offices, 2 Broad Street could become a model for other downtown storefronts. It is a similar bet on foot traffic to other recent downtown and Seaport moves, such as Life Time’s Commonwealth Pier club and Hasbro’s planned Seaport headquarters.
