BTS Close Santiago Run of Arirang Tour in Huaso Outfits

BTS wrapped up three stadium nights at Santiago’s Estadio Nacional on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, closing the Chile stop of the BTS Arirang tour in traditional Chilean huaso outfits in front of more than 76,000 fans, according to Chilean outlet Fotech. It was the group’s first concert visit to Chile in nine years.

Three nights at Estadio Nacional

The BTS World Tour “Arirang” played Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in the Ñuñoa district of Santiago on Wednesday, Oct. 14, Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17. The Oct. 14 date was an extra show that BIGHIT MUSIC added “thanks to the support of ARMY,” the label said in a Weverse notice that also added dates in Lima and Buenos Aires.

Chilean coverage put attendance at between 60,000 and more than 76,000 people per night. The shows used a 360-degree stage that placed the crowd on every side of the performers, according to The Intelligent, a Chilean news site.

The organizers’ official guide for the Santiago run listed an 8 p.m. local show time, with general admission entry into the stadium from 4:30 p.m. and a local DJ set beforehand. It also warned that the production includes lasers, smoke, flames, pyrotechnics and strobe effects, and that fans under 6 would not be admitted.

Huaso outfits, surprise songs and a promise to return

The most talked-about moment of the finale came when RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook returned to the stage dressed as huasos, the traditional Chilean horsemen, wearing mantas, the Chilean poncho, and the straw hats known as chupallas, Fotech reported.

The closing night’s set ranged across the group’s catalog, with hits such as “MIC Drop,” “Not Today,” “Fire,” “IDOL,” “Dynamite” and “Butter,” alongside songs from the “Arirang” album, The Intelligent reported. Fotech said the group added rarities for the last show, including a live “Heartbeat” and “Spine Breaker,” a song with special meaning for local fans because its music video was filmed in Chile during BTS’s 2017 visit.

During “Body to Body,” the segment in which the members sing the traditional Korean folk song arirang with the crowd, RM addressed the stadium. “We’ve been to many countries so far, but when we sing ‘Body to Body,’ of all the places we’ve been, you have been the best,” he said, according to Fotech’s Spanish-language report, translated by The Boston Report. “We won’t forget you for a long time.”

Other members echoed the message. Jungkook said it would be hard to forget the screams and that he would “definitely” return to Santiago, Suga said the group had “no choice but to come back,” and Jimin told the crowd he did not want to leave Chile, Fotech reported. Across the three nights, the members also leaned into local slang and the famous “Chi-chi-chi, le-le-le” chant, and praised Chilean empanadas and completos, the outlet said.

The run also overlapped with Jimin’s birthday on Oct. 13, which fans and the group celebrated during the Santiago shows, according to The Intelligent.

Why the Arirang tour is trending

The Latin American leg is one of the first big stadium runs since all seven members returned to the stage after completing South Korean military service, The Intelligent noted. Fan-shot clips from the Santiago shows spread widely on social media over the weekend, and Chilean fan accounts such as BTS Daily Chile celebrated RM’s praise as a crowning moment for local ARMY.

The return to Chile carried extra weight because of the gap. BTS had not played the country since 2017, and the trip back to the city where “Spine Breaker” was filmed gave the shows a homecoming feel for longtime fans, Fotech reported.

Where BTS goes next

According to the official tour site, the Arirang tour moves to Argentina next, with three shows at Estadio Único de La Plata near Buenos Aires on Oct. 21, 23 and 24. After that, it heads to Brazil for shows at São Paulo’s Estádio do MorumBIS beginning Oct. 28. Fans should check the official site and Weverse for any schedule changes and for ticketing through authorized sellers only.
