BOSTON — Scattered showers were expected to end early Sunday, Nov. 8, leaving much of the day dry across southern New England as low pressure moved away into the Gulf of Maine, the National Weather Service office in Norton said in its morning forecast discussion.

Today and Monday
Gusty west to northwest winds should develop, especially after clouds break up, and temperatures should stay slightly above normal through Monday, the Weather Service said. Forecasters extended a small craft advisory to Monday evening.
Midweek
Cooler air arrives behind a trough Monday night. Tuesday highs look to be generally in the 40s and 50s with lows in the 30s, with a mix of clouds and sun and breezy conditions, the forecast said. Those more seasonable temperatures should last at least through midweek.
Late week
Forecast guidance points to a possible new low pressure system forming near the mid-Atlantic coast toward the second half of the week, which could bring back unsettled weather, the Weather Service said.
