Pammy’s Cambridge is a New American restaurant styled after an Italian neighborhood trattoria, set at 928 Massachusetts Ave. between Central Square and Harvard Square. Husband-and-wife owners Chris and Pam Willis, who live up the street, describe it as an extension of their living room. Here is what to know about the menu, prices, reservations and hours as of October 2026, based on the restaurant’s website.
The Owners: Chris and Pam Willis
Chris Willis runs the kitchen. He grew up around his family’s fourth-generation farm and credits five stops for shaping his cooking: fundamentals at Rialto, discipline at Clio, “balance, texture and spice” at Cafe Gray, pasta at Sfoglia and “maximum flavor impact” at ABC Cocina. His approach, according to the restaurant, is to showcase just a few star ingredients per dish.
Pam Willis runs the dining room. The daughter of a hotelier and a restaurateur, she grew up partly in New York City hotels, spending time with maître d’s after school folding napkins.
The Menu: $88 Three-Course Format
Reservations are for an $88-per-person “choose-your-own-adventure” menu in which each guest picks three dishes. A sample menu posted on the website lists dishes such as:
- Raw and small plates: bluefin tuna with tomato and lychee; black bass crudo with local edamame; spelt-fried oysters with apple and caviar; chicken liver mousse with chanterelles and blueberry.
- Pasta: raviolo al uovo with red crab and veal jus; saffron gnocchi with clams and guanciale; lumache with Bolognese and gochujang; and mafaldine with tripe, garlic chili oil and labneh.
- Mains: skate wing with white grits and peaches; swordfish with eggplant and plums; ribeye cap with fig tart; pork Milanese with arugula and jicama.
- Dessert: sweet corn ice cream, chocolate torta with hazelnut and banana ice cream, affogato and sorbetto.
Menus change with the seasons, so specific dishes may differ on any given night. The tripe mafaldine has drawn particular praise: The New York Times, quoted on the restaurant’s site, called it “an incomparable bowl of squiggly goodness.”
Bar, Lounge and Walk-Ins
An à la carte version of the menu is served daily in the bar and lounge, where walk-ins are welcome. House cocktails run $15 to $17, draft beers $8 to $12. Bar manager Rob Ficks previously worked at Craigie on Main, Kirkland Tap & Trotter and The Hawthorne. The wine list, curated by Katie Hubbard, focuses on small producers and natural wines; StarChefs named Hubbard a 2024 Rising Star Sommelier.
Awards and Recognition
Pammy’s is listed in the Michelin Guide as a recommended restaurant. Its other honors include Boston Magazine’s Best New Restaurant (2018), a Boston Globe Restaurant of the Year nod and a three-star Globe review, a Bon Appétit Top 50 nomination for America’s Best New Restaurant in 2018, and The New York Times’ list of the best restaurants in Boston for 2024 through 2026.
