Burlington is one of the busiest dining towns north of Boston. The Burlington Mall, the Middlesex Turnpike corridor and Third Avenue draw office workers at lunch and shoppers and families at night, so the town has more restaurants than its population of about 26,000 would suggest. This guide focuses on independent and regional restaurants rather than national chains.

For each one we give the type of restaurant, the address, the phone number and its Google rating as of Oct. 22, 2026. This list starts with businesses in The Boston Report’s Burlington directory, then adds places from Google Maps business profiles checked on Oct. 22, 2026. For Burlington, every pick is a business already listed in our directory, and we favored independent or regional restaurants with a substantial number of Google reviews. We did not accept payment for placement, and we did not include places that Google marked as permanently or temporarily closed. Ratings and review counts are a snapshot from that date and will change.
Restaurant hours change often, especially around holidays and in winter. The hours above come from each business’s Google profile, not from the restaurant directly, so call ahead or check the restaurant’s own website before you go. Tips before you go
Parking is generally easy at Burlington’s plazas and the mall, but lots near Third Avenue and the mall fill on weekend evenings and during the holiday shopping season. MBTA bus routes 350 and 351 serve the Burlington Mall area, and the Lowell Regional Transit Authority also runs a route there.
Most of these restaurants are small businesses. Weekend evenings book up first; where a restaurant takes reservations, booking ahead is the safest plan. Ask about allergens directly, because menus posted online are not always current.
