Massachusetts pay transparency

Since Oct. 29, 2025, Massachusetts employers with 25 or more employees in the state must disclose the pay range in job postings, including postings placed through third parties, under M.G.L. c. 149, § 105F. The law defines the pay range as the annual salary or hourly wage range the employer “reasonably and in good faith expects to pay” for the position. To keep things simple, our board asks every employer, of any size, for a pay range. See the Attorney General’s pay transparency guidance for details.
