Boston College football: 2026 season status

BC is 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the ACC under Bill O’Brien after Saturday’s 49-27 win at Georgia Tech. The Eagles fell behind 10-0 early, then ran for 399 yards. Quarterback Mason McKenzie rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns, and Bo MacCormack III added 155 yards and three scores, the Associated Press reported. Sophomore Charlie Comella intercepted two passes and returned one 55 yards for a touchdown. It was BC’s first road win of the season and its second straight ACC win, after a 27-21 homecoming victory over Pitt on Oct. 17.

The Eagles need two more wins in their last five games to reach six and bowl eligibility. What’s left: at Duke on Oct. 31 at noon, Florida State at home on Nov. 7, at Notre Dame on Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m., Syracuse at home on Nov. 21 for Senior Day, and at Miami on Nov. 28. Read our BC at Georgia Tech preview for the season’s earlier results and statistics.

Harvard football and The Game

Harvard is the Ivy League’s only unbeaten team at 6-0 and 3-0. On Saturday, Charlie Smith completed 22 of 28 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the 35-7 win over Princeton, according to the Ivy League. The Crimson goes into November as one of three unbeaten FCS teams. The Ivy League has no championship game, so the title is decided by the standings. The 2026 Harvard-Yale game is set for Saturday, Nov. 21, at Fenway Park. Background: our Harvard-Princeton preview.

Boston college hockey season 2026-27

The men’s season is three weeks old, and none of the city’s teams has pulled away yet. Hockey East play between Boston schools starts with Northeastern at BC on Oct. 30 and 31. More local games follow: Harvard at BU on Nov. 10, BC at UMass on Nov. 13 and UMass at BC on Nov. 14, BC at Harvard on Nov. 29, Northeastern at BU on Dec. 11 and 12, and BU at BC on Jan. 29, according to the Hockey East composite schedule.

Northeastern’s season is unusual. The Huskies play 33 of their 34 games away from home because Matthews Arena, their longtime home rink, was torn down. Construction of the new arena has been delayed to 2029 after asbestos was found, College Hockey News reported. For week-by-week results, see our college hockey roundup.
