Best Restaurants in Brookline MA (2026 Guide)

Brookline’s restaurants are concentrated in a handful of walkable commercial districts: Coolidge Corner along Harvard and Beacon streets, Brookline Village, Washington Square and the stretch of Beacon Street near Cleveland Circle. All of them sit on or near the Green Line’s C and D branches, which makes the town an easy dinner trip from Boston.

This guide covers 12 restaurants across those neighborhoods, from Jewish delis to Greek, Turkish, Italian and Spanish cooking. For each we list the address, phone, hours from Google and its rating as of Oct. 22, 2026. How we chose these places

This list starts with businesses in The Boston Report’s Brookline directory, then adds places from Google Maps business profiles checked on Oct. 22, 2026. For Brookline, we started with the restaurants in our directory and added independent restaurants with strong ratings and a meaningful number of reviews across several neighborhoods, rather than concentrating the list in a single square. We did not accept payment for placement, and we did not include places that Google marked as permanently or temporarily closed. Ratings and review counts are a snapshot from that date and will change.

Restaurant hours change often, especially around holidays and in winter. The hours above come from each business’s Google profile, not from the restaurant directly, so call ahead or check the restaurant’s own website before you go. Tips before you go

Brookline bans on-street parking for more than one hour between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., which matters if you are staying late, and meters are enforced in its commercial districts.
