This weekend: Oct. 30 – Nov. 1

  • Friday: Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls, 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden. The Boston Pops play “Coco” in Concert Live to Film at Symphony Hall (also Saturday at 1:30 p.m.).
  • Saturday, Halloween: Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks, 1 p.m. at TD Garden. Neighborhood trick-or-treating and costume events across the city.
  • Sunday: Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. The Patriots are in Miami (4:25 p.m., CBS) and the Celtics play at Orlando (3:30 p.m.).

For Halloween events, see our Boston Halloween 2026 guide.

Quick explainer: Two pro games on one weekend means crowds near North Station. The Garden sits on top of North Station, so the Orange and Green lines and the Commuter Rail are the easiest way in.

Next weekend: Nov. 6-8

  • Sunday, Nov. 8: The B.A.A.’s Boston Half, a half marathon for about 9,000 runners that starts and ends in Franklin Park. Expect road closures along the Emerald Necklace that morning.
  • Bruins vs. Florida Panthers, 1 p.m. Sunday at TD Garden.
  • Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers, 4:25 p.m. Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough (Fox).
Where does the Boston Half go?

The B.A.A. says the course starts and finishes in Franklin Park and follows the Emerald Necklace past the Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond and Olmsted Park. Check baa.org for the course map and the city’s road closures list before driving that morning.

Most weekends between now and Christmas have two home games. Thanksgiving weekend is the busiest, with a Bruins matinee and a Celtics night game on Friday, Nov. 27, plus a Bruins game on Sunday. The Patriots have only two home weekend games in this stretch, partly because of their Nov. 15 game in Munich and their bye week.
