Washington

Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress on Tuesday, which could give Ukraine’s backers more say over aid from January. The State Department approved a possible sale of 500 PAC-3 MSE interceptors on Oct. 30, though experts told Newsweek deliveries could take years. Our analysis of a Democratic Congress and foreign policy explains what changes and what doesn’t. U.S.-mediated working-level talks with Russia and Ukraine are scheduled for Abu Dhabi on Nov. 10-11, as our Nov. 3 update reported.
