Boston election results from Tuesday, Nov. 3, show 185,569 ballots cast in the city and Gov. Maura Healey winning 78.2% of the Boston vote, according to unofficial results posted by the Boston Election Department with all 275 precincts reporting as of 3:46 a.m. Wednesday. The results are unofficial. Provisional ballots and mail ballots postmarked by Election Day that arrive by Friday, Nov. 6, can still be added, and cities and towns face a Nov. 18 deadline to certify their counts.

Boston election results: turnout and the top of the ticket

The city listed 443,178 registered voters before the election in an Election Department release, which also said more than 2,000 poll workers would staff the polls and that 69,759 mail ballots had been sent out. By a Boston Report calculation, the 185,569 ballots cast equal unofficial turnout of 41.9%. In the 2022 governor’s race, Boston cast 180,830 ballots, a 40.38% turnout. That puts this year’s count 4,739 ballots, or 2.6%, higher, before late ballots are added.

Healey and running mate Kim Driscoll received 143,019 Boston votes. The Republican ticket of Mike Minogue and his running mate, listed as Minogue and Oliver, received 32,772 (17.9%), and the James and Kittredge ticket received 6,725 (3.7%).
